A few of the notable vessels I have served on as master.
NJORD 26m Class CTV. Quad Volvo IPS Powered. Served as Master on the Walney Extension Project in 2017/18
NJORD 21m CTV which is MTU 2000 Series Diesel powered. Sailing as Master, We have served on the Nordergunde project in germany (2016) Nobel Wind project in Belgium (2016/17) and Walney Extension 2017 a week on 3 off rotation.
SURE PROGRESS AND SURE PILGRIM: Sailing as Master on the Butendiek and Amrumbank windfarm. They are 19.5m 65GRT twin screw FPP vessels powered by MTU M72 8V 2000 series Diesel Engines.
PENRHOS BAY: Master for Turbine Transfers on their 20m Class Penrhos Bay and 19m Class Caernarfon Bay. Running out of Liverpool to the Gwynt y Mor Wind Farm. These Vessel are state of the art Twin Jet driven Catamarans. Touch Screen Interface systems and parker controlled jet systems along with ECDIS and full GMDSS System.
SERENDIPITY: Princess V78. Two week charter for private clients, contracted in for Yacht Deliveries UK
FALCON SPIRIT: is a Research Catamaran owned by Plymouth University for the purpose of marine research. She is 14m and equipped to deploy many scientific Instruments such as, MSS, ADCP in hull and trawl proof bed frames, CDT, ROV. I have been lucky enough to work on her on several projects as Duty Skipper and relif crew for Channel 5 with ROV’s looking for historical evidence on ship wrecks for television More traditional work on research cruises including one on the wavehub deploying in sometimes challenging conditions out of St Ives Harbour. HIPPY CHICK: A Jeanneau Prestige 32, used for RYA training at Plymouth Powerboat School. I ran RYA Yachtmaster preparations onboard, with a high success rate. We pride ourselves on personalised tuition tailored to meet the needs of our students. See my post PSP Southampton Boat Show
FLOUNDER: Is one of our 7.6m Humber rib used to provide training within the RYA Powerboat Scheme and Skippered/Bareboat Charter to various government organisations such as the environment agency and to Television such as Channel 4 and the BBC. She is Capable of cruising at 30 knots with 12 people aboard and goes on to a top speed of 45 knots. She is powered by a HONDA 250hp outboard engine which is ultra quiet and economical and carries Garmin Chart Plotter with a Dual Frequency Fish Finder. Coded for Category 3 (R). She is available for Charter at short notice anywhere in the United Kingdom.
MY LADY: is my own labour of love, a Falmouth working boat built as a yacht in March 1939. She is currently undergoing some restoration in Plymouth, including new planks and structural timbers.
